Antonio Brown will not be kicking the Cleveland Browns again anytime soon. The Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to trade the All-Pro wide receiver to the Oakland Raiders at the dawn of Daylight Savings Time.
After weeks of catty exchanges between the 31-year-old wideout and a Pittsburgh team increasingly wary of his antics, the Steelers finally found an acceptable return for Brown. Oakland will send two draft picks next month, third- and fifth-round selections, to acquire Brown.
The Raiders are going to give Brown a new contract, which is part of why other teams bowed out of the sweepstakes.
The Browns were never considered serious suitors for doing business with their AFC North rivals. Cleveland and Oakland do not play in 2019.
